“KPMG established a licensed audit company in Croatia on 5 June 1993, so we have chosen tonight to commemorate (slightly prematurely) the first fifteen years of the operation of KPMG Croatia d.o.o. za reviziju.
Actually, KPMG started work in Croatia a little earlier than this. It was our London office which undertook to carry out audits of banks in Zagreb and in Split in June 1991. I myself first came to Croatia in early 1992, when we completed our first audit. This was on Zaba’s 1991 financial statements, which makes it our longest standing audit client”, said Mr. Ismet Kamal, Senior Partner of KPMG in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, who also used this opportunity to commend great team work and extraordinary professionalism of KPMG’s staff.
During the event, held at a beautiful location and at several levels, guests could enjoy chosen specialty foods combined with delicious Croatian wines but the real attraction was tasting of fancy dishes served directly from the grill at the terrace of the Lobby Restaurant. Accompanied by a band consisting of top Croatian musicians who played sophisticated modern jazz, the celebration lasted long into the night.
